Great idea. Something I await since Factions but is still missing in Nightfall.

/signed

P.S. I just have to ask: how does the whole thing with the signing work? I mean, I have signed for over 20 or so great ideas so far which have hundreds voices saying YES, but so far I haven't seen anything of this implemented in the game or even announced for future updates...

Ok where in this thread has Gaile said this idea is impossible?

I've checked it all the way back to page 9 and there is no mention of this being impossible.

I did however there is positive respond from her on page 2:

As you can see (If you read the chatlong)... A.net said they like the idea, and it could happen. But maybe never, as its could be a long time before it came along.

Seeing how it is one of the most highly demanded new features by the fact we have someone starting at least one or two new posts asking for this every week, I don't see why Anet wouldn't try to make it a bigger priority.

My elementalist and warrior from tyria have been stuck with that horrible hair.....I so wish anet would take this idea into consideration. And if even at all possible, not being offensive/rude/phsycho/perverted or anything etc.(make them be able to change sex without changing character name) I dont think it would weaken the economy or anything, I mean if you just buy armor its just one set, its not like there's a guy set or girl set that would affect anything so if you change then it'll just make the armor fit to the right sex.(the armor that you bought that is)

Color ok... that would just be like dying you're armor, i see no problem in that, but style style no...

For a sum of lets say 500g, the stylist will give access to all standard dyes in the game and allow you to use on them your armor and see how it looks. A try before you buy so to speak... the effect will run out after 2 mins, at which point you'd return to normal.
I like this, though i think a dye preview screen like we have now in combination with this would be better, so that you dont actually have the dye applied and run out after.

Why a dye preview and no mixing preview...? i dont get this one...

Agreed, except for the last one, if cloning is a problem as you say, it wouldn't be fixed by this... a lot more hairstyle and faces would.

There might be more lag.

Is Anet and/or Gaile Gray aware of this Petition ?
Does anyone know if they are taking this into consideration?

What's a Stylist NPC?

As well all know we select our hair colour and style at the start of the game, which forever more remains like that... The stylist NPC will be able to change and add things to our character apperance at cost.

Not only would it allow players to spend there money on new things, players can make their characters look better and stand out more from the 200 Red-hair female elementalist clones running about for example.

what services will the Stylist NPC have?

- Change Hair Style, A.Net could add some more in as well
- Change hair colour
- Add additional special items including:

+ Ear-rings
+ Flashy Finger Rings
+ Facial (Not that kind! ) Tatoos

- Add special new clothing items which give no AL bonus, but look different:

+ Scrafts
+ Head Bands

I also think that when a new chapter comes out and i want to make a female warrior, in nightfall, all the hairstyles are really ugly and the only style i really like is in prophecies, and frankly i cannot be bothered making another prophecies char... with each new campain, it should be adding to the bank of hairstyles, not making completely new ones.

He I just want to precise one thing, I /signed this thread just for the hairstylist, I don't think a "face changer" would be a good idea, neither a way to change sex, I just think a way to change and/or taint hair is good

This thing should scale like armour. My Koss would look awesome with an 80k Obsidian Afro or some Kournan dreadlocks. 8)
